Jan 10-17: Art Glass Conference Aboard Cruise Ship Solstice
Ft. Lauderdale. Sponsored by the KBW Glass Art Educational Foundation. The glass art conference will feature presentations by renowned glass artists, a private tour of the ship’s fine arts collection, panel discussions, get-togethers, and cocktail parties. Lectures include: Collecting Art and Glass for Pleasure or Investment, Hot Glass Techniques, Computer Tips for the Glass Artist or Collector, Pate de Verre Glass Sculptures, Best Methods for Capturing Digital Images of Artwork, The Great Tiffany Mystic and Sketch Along workshops. Mar 17 - 21: 9th Annual American Mosaic Summitt
Chicago, IL. Each year, over 300 SAMA members benefit from incredible presentations by both nationally known and international guests. Every year, SAMA strives to raise the level of program excellence for its members. The up to 6 presentations which will occur on Friday and Saturday are attended by the full group of registered attendees and are typically 45-60 minutes in length. This year we are also adding 4 additional opportunities for shorter format presentations to occur one evening. The Professional Seminar evening will be for technically specific discussions, artist issues or focus group type discussions in a 30 minute format. Information at americanmosaics.org

Jun10 - 12: Glass Art Society 40th Annual Conference - Ingenious Possibility
Louisville, KY. The GAS 2010 conference is a region-wide collaboration of artists, educators, businesses, galleries, museums, collectors, and hot shops that will attract international recognition to the Louisville arts community in connection with the Glass Art Society's 40th annual conference. The University of Louisville, Metro Government, local artists, gallery owners, educators, collectors and art enthusiasts are all working together to make this a regional celebration of glass.
