September 2010 Classes

One-on-One Beginning Bead Making
Lexington, KY. Held at Hallock Stained Glass. Date & Time: Determined by instructor and student. Tuition: $214.95. Intended for students with little to no bead making experience, emphasis will be on learning how to use the Hot Head bead making torch to make glass beads. Basic skills such as safety, winding the glass onto the mandrel, surface decoration, and several bead shapes will be practiced. The class fee will cover four hours of individual instruction, plus the Beginning Bead Making Kit which is yours to keep after the class. 10 Week Glass Course
France. Tuition: €200 all course materials for your first two set projects are provided. Choose Tuesday morning 9.30 until 12.00 or Tuesday or Thursday afternoons 2.00 until 4.30. Over ten morning and/or afternoon sessions learn how to cut and shape pieces of glass to fit into your overall design. Individual Stained Glass Classes

Sep 16 - 22: A Master Class “The Perfect Vessel”
Northern Ireland. Instructor: Karl Harron. The aim of this 7-day Master Class is to achieve a “sublime form”. The process is to discard the superfluous and to identify and develop a personal concept. The result will be a form that is the simple expression of a complex thought and students will be encouraged to adopt a sculptural approach to their work - a search for form and push their glass in a new direction rather than master a technique.
